David Hobson and Colin Lane have been friends for 25 years. From vastly different backgrounds, they have observed one another’s worlds and always thought, “Gee, wouldn’t it be nice to have a go at what that other guy does?” So here’s their chance to see whether the grass is a little greener. Mirusia studied opera at Griffith University's Queensland Conservatorium in Australia and at the age of 21 was announced as the youngest ever recipient of the prestigious Dame Joan Sutherland Opera Award. After graduation, her career blossomed when she toured the world as star soprano with André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra for over 10 years. The stadium-size concerts have forwarded Mirusia the most wonderful opportunities of singing before country leaders, royalty and millions of fans have marvelled at the clarity, dexterity and the exquisite sound of her voice.

The show features her inspired re-imaginings of such classic tunes as Over the Rainbow, Fields of Gold, Autumn Leaves, Time After Time, Ain’t No Sunshine, Bridge Over Troubled Water, What a Wonderful World and, of course, Songbird.
When Ophelia moves with her family to the seaside, she’s not impressed. She doesn’t like the beach, misses her old home and thinks the people in this town are pretty strange. While unpacking her room she discovers a mysterious box full of gadgets, parts and pieces, and a strange note that reads ‘You. Make. Me.’ Her curiosity gets the better of her and she spends all night assembling the objects into Olivetti, a robot with a typewriter chest and an alarm clock heart. One album, two men, too many instruments! The multi-award winning hit show Tubular Bells For Two returns to tour Australia in 2020.
Two highly talented musicians, Daniel Holdsworth and Tom Bamford, battle with a stageful of instruments to reproduce Mike Oldfield’s classic Tubular Bells album live. One slip, and it could all go horribly wrong! The barefoot duo dash around the stage, performing a multitude of instruments live in an intricately choreographed, thrilling piece of theatre. For the audience, the fun lies in not only hearing the music of a classic album beautifully played, but also in the tension of knowing that the slightest mistake could bring the whole show crashing to a halt!
Tubular Bells For Two made its debut at the Sydney Fringe Festival in 2010, where it won the award for ‘Best Musical Moment.’ It then went on to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2012, where it wowed critics and audience alike, winning 5-star reviews and much-coveted Herald Angel and ‘Sixth Star’ Bobby awards, and has sold out concerts around the globe since.

Edward is bored with his lot. Being the only emu at the zoo has left him feeling glum and under the impression that the grass is greener in everyone else’s enclosure. Maybe being a seal, or a lion, or a snake might be a better option in life for a lonely bird? Convinced that the other creatures are more popular, Edward breaks ranks and goes to find the fun.
Meanwhile the Keepers are in hot pursuit, hunting high and low to relocate their crowd-pleasing, much-loved feathered attraction. Edward stays one step ahead until he’s ready to head home; concluding that being an emu might be just right after all. Back at HIS pen, a very shocking but welcome surprise awaits... he’s been replaced by the rather wonderful Edwina the Emu!

The Sapphires is a heart-warming tale inspired by the true story of Tony Brigg' mother. Set in 1968 during landmark changes to Aboriginal rights, it tells the story of a singing group of four young Yorta Yorta women, discovered by a talent scout at St Kilda's Tiki Club. He convinces them to tour Vietnam to sing classic soul songs for the troops and it becomes a life-altering trip to the depths of war and back again. Whilst The Sapphires explores issues such as race, prejudice and pleas for acceptance, it is an energetic and engaging play that affirms life and the realisation of dreams.
Darren Coggan is one of Australia’s most exciting and diverse artists, a masterful storyteller with a knack of weaving fascinating and perceptive tales through his songs. Darren welcomes us to his campfire for an entertaining morning of story and song, articulating moments of laughter, joy and reflection through timeless tunes that the whole world sang along with.

Each year we have enjoyed getting together in December to celebrate the final show in our Daylight Entertainment Season with our traditional Christmas show, and to celebrate the year and the spirit of the season.
For our 2020 celebration, we are doing something even more special:
We are dusting off our jingle bells, polishing a reindeer’s nose, hey-ho-ing the holy, putting up the mistletoe, brushing up the dance steps and producing our very own WGAC Christmas show, just for you!
This show will feature a wonderful line-up of special guest artists from both the professional stage and our local stage (including singers from our region), complete with all the fun Christmas trimmings.. and of course, many opportunities for you to sing along with us.
We will even take the chance to launch our 2021 Daylight Season as part of the show and will present special Christmas performances from some of the featured artists coming up in next year's Daylight Entertainment Season.
This is certain to be A Very WGAC Christmas and we are looking forward to bringing you something very special and just a little bit different!
